The rights situation of the images in the E-Pics catalogues is not uniform. It does not only differ from catalogue to catalogue, but there are also differences within the catalogues. In general, the metadata of an image provide information about whether and under what conditions an image may be reused. 


In the menu "About us", which is located in the footer, you will find the terms of use of the catalogue or a corresponding link (in addition to general information). 


In the Information view, the metadata often include information about reuse, image credits, etc. 


In the E-Pics catalogues, rights are often indicated with Creative Commons licenses. On the right, you find a definition of the two licenses most commonly used in the catalogues. For more information, visit the Creative Commons website

Terms of use: The images are in the public domain and can be used without limitation. The images bear the public domain mark. These images can be used freely for scientific, private, non-commercial and commercial purposes.
