Service description


Description

The central signage service should be combined under a single operational concept with medium and long term electronic info and news screens at ETH Zurich. IT Services are responsible for operating the infrastructure while the decentralised units are responsible for the content of the electronic screens. Additionally, IT Services are responsible for the central information systems (event calendar, course catalogue, room reservation system, Exchange) development and maintenance of interfaces and operation.

The service info screens can be of several sizes, from small electronic door screen to wall-​sized video screens.

Customer Benefit

The customers requirements for the into screens and electronic plates are supported by a centralized infrastructure and support process which allows the customer to focus on the content of the screen and not worry about the infrastructure. The network connection to the central information source is guaranteed.

Customer Groups / Cost / Order

ETH-​internal or ETH-​related organisations in ETH premises.

The cost of acquisition, instillation, maintained, repair and replacement of displays are to be paid by the customers. The use of the service for playback and management of the displays for the available functionality is generally free of charge.
