Mobile Telephony - for Central Bodies(ZO)
Introduction
The directive "Corporate Mobile Network (CMN) of the Central Bodies (ZO)" regulates the business and private use of the Mobile Telephony Service by employees in the Central Bodies (ZO) of ETH Zurich.
Determinations
Authorization
All employees of the ZO with permanent employment will be given the opportunity to apply for an ETH Zurich Mobile Telephony subscription after the probationary period. The decision as to which persons are entitled to use and to which category of use they are assigned lies with the respective department or staff management. Likewise, the department or staff management decides on the allocation of subscriptions for employees with temporary appointments in their area.
Publication of Mobile Telephone Numbers
With the exception of VIP numbers, the telephone numbers of Mobile Telephony subscriptions are made available for operational purposes / needs. This is done on password protected platforms.
Services
The services for the Mobile Telephony service are described in the General Terms and Conditions, the overview of rates and the instructions for ZO employees.
Categories
When using the Mobile Telephony Servicein the ZO, two categories are distinguished:
Category 1.
This category includes the highest levels of management (personal business use).
Category 2
Category 2 usage is intended for the following employees:
- Employees with an increased demand for availability, even outside regular working hours
- Employees on standby duty or those who are called out in the event of an alert
- mployees who cannot be reached in their own office for a significant part of the working time.
The "no-policy" and "ETHRat" guidelines apply to all organizational units outside the ZO.
Costs
Billing
The subscription costs incurred by ETH are borne entirely by the units. The responsibility of financing and cost monitoring lies with the budget officer of the respective financial element.
Equipment subsidies
It is expressly pointed out that the ETH Zurich tariffs do not include any device subsidies and therefore no discounted devices can be obtained.
Additional costs for data packages Call costs abroad
Data packages must always be purchased privately. If the use is for business purposes, the costs can be claimed back via an expense claim.
