iOS - UC Mobile Client
These instructions refer to the installation and settings of the OpenScape UC Mobile Client on iPhone (iOS operating system).
The UC Mobile Client (OpenScape Mobile Pro - OSMO) is a communications solution that integrates landline telephony into a smartphone. There is no obligation or expectation to install the Mobile Client. The focus is on the UC Desktop Client, which enables flexible, sustainable telecommunications. The mobile client requires good data communication (Wi-Fi or mobile network) and also involves increased setup effort.
Restrictions
The basic requirement for operating a mobile client is a good data connection. This can either be via the public network (reception provider) or via a WLAN network. Problems can occur with large company WLAN networks when users move from one WLAN transmitter to another. Interruptions also occur when someone moves away from a WLAN transmitter and reception then switches to the public network.
Requirements
The basic requirement for the UC Mobile Client is a UC Web Client as well as a smartphone with the OpenScape Mobile Pro App (OSMO) installed.
The UC Desktop App is not a prerequisite for commissioning the UC Mobile App.
The UC Mobile Client is not mandatory and is an additional service if required. The use is also intended for private end devices and does not entitle the user to a mobile telephony end device or ETHZ subscription
Order
By default, all UC users have the option to start using the UC Mobile Client. No additional order is necessary.
