The hardphone was until end of 2022 the standard landline telephone at ETH Zurich. With the migration to Softphone (UC), these will be replaced for the personal workstations.
The Softphone (UC) is based on the product "OpenScape UC" from Unify, the supplier of our previous telephony solution.
From the end of February 2023, all new employees will be equipped only with the Softphone (UC) and no more hardphones will be installed.
During the migration to the Softphone (UC), the hardphone will be inactivated and removed by IT Services within 3 months.
