Requesting a Google Workspace License

In order to use Google Workspace at the ETH Zurich, you first have to request a cloud subscription from the IT-Shop.

Google Workspace Getting License

  1. Go to https://itshop.ethz.ch/ and log in

  2. Enter your ETH username and password
  3. Select from the Service Catalog Cloud Services "Personal Cloud Subscription"
  4. Select "Request Cloud Subscription (non Microsoft)"
  5. Read the "Rules for the use of external cloud services managed by IT Services" carefully
  6. Fill out the form
  7. Submit Request

  8. Wait for the confirmation email from IT-Shop


Login

Google Login of google.com
  1. Go to https://accounts.google.com
  2. Sign in with your ETH user name (username@ethz.ch). You will be forwarded to AD Authentication page
  3. Enter your ETH user name and password
  4. Enter One Time Password


Using Google Apps

  1. Once you have logged in to https://accounts.google.com you will see on the top right corner a "waffle"-symbol. 
    Click on this symbol.
  2. A menu with all available Google apps opens. Just navigate and click on the App you would like to use.
