Research Collection publications

Publications or research data that you publish for the first time in the Research Collection can be imported into your ORCID record via their DOI. To do this, log into your ORCID record and click on "Add works". In the menu, select "Add DOI" and enter the DOI of the publication to be imported (starting with 10.3929/...). You can then check the metadata and add the publication to your record.

Publisher publications

The quickest way to add publications that you first publish with a publisher (and additionally record or self-archive in the Research Collection) to your ORCID record is to authorise the publisher to send new publications to your ORCID record via auto-update. To do this, make sure that you enter your ORCID iD correctly in the publisher's submission process. As soon as the publisher has registered a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) for your publication, it will automatically appear as a notification in your ORCID Inbox. There you can approve the import and, if required, give the publisher permission for future automatic imports into your record.
