This document provides a brief tutorial on how to get started with the NAHIMA database.
Click on the highlighted icon to access the general easydb documentation. This contains help on various points.
Are you stuck or do you have a question about the database? If so, please contact nahima@library.ethz.ch.
You will find the contact details in the resources if you have collection-specific questions. There, you can see the different collections and find the website of the collection as well as further contact details under the “i” icon.
Terms of use
Please note the terms of use of the collections. You will find them not only on the greetingpage, but also in the menu on the left. To do so, click on the "i" icon:
Getting started
Search the relevant collection
Or enter a term in the search bar and perform a broad search, i.e. in all collections:
Click on the magnifying glass icon in the top left-hand corner if you want to return to the start page.
Detailed view
The detailed view provides relevant information on the record you are looking for. The three dots open additional windows with further information.
Downloading images
You can use either the framed icon or the three dots next to it to download images. You can choose the format in which you would like to download the image. Please note the terms of use!
The three dots open a menu that also allows you to export metadata.
Now you can choose the export format.
