Full texts/datasets can be replaced until the submission is published in the Research Collection. After the publication of the submission, uploaded full texts/datasets can no longer be replaced, according to the terms of use of the Research Collection.
Replacement by yourself - record in drafts
You can replace your full texts/datasets yourself while the entry is still stored as a draft in the Research Collection.
You can find your drafts under Publish > New Submission > Drafts & Submissions under Review. With a click on "Edit" you can further edit the corresponding entry and replace the full texts/datasets on the "Upload" tab. Select the full texts/datasets to be deleted and remove them using the "Remove selected file(s)" button. Subsequently, you can upload new full texts/dataset.
If you can no longer find the specific entry in your drafts this indicates you have already submitted the entry for publication. Please refer to the next section "Replacement by the Research Collection team - Entries submitted for publication".
Replacement by the Research Collection team - entry submitted for publication
If the entry was submitted for publication, the entry is in review status. The following screenshot shows the corresponding notice:
During the internal review, your entered metadata and uploaded full texts/datasets will be reviewed by the Research Collection Team. You can no longer make changes to your submission yourself. However, you can still upload a new version of full texts/datasets. Please upload the new full texts/dataset via the edit symbol > Upload Fulltext/Dataset (see screenshot):
Detailed instructions for adding full text/datasets can be found here.
It is not possible to delete the previous full texts/datasets on your own. The Research Collection Team deletes the previous files for you. The entry will then be completed and published.
Replacement after the publication of an entry
After a paper or a dataset has been submitted and published via Research Collection, it can no longer be exchanged. Please consult the page Publish new version.
